In this body of work the artist explores the transition from being into context and the paradoxical tenacity of the past as it asserts itself into the present and the future. Using wallpaper as a metaphor for context, in addition to family photos from the 1950's and 60's, Donovan touches on themes of identity, memory, time, fear, and desire.
