In a series of four accordion-style books, Margie Kelk addresses her relationship to Chinese life and art as she witnessed it in China. The books touch on problems of rapid industrialization and pollution. These running pages, executed with a combination of collage and traditional Chinese brushwork, offer comment on the tensions between tradition and the realities of modern China.
