Wall mounted constructions by Francois X. Chamberland.
Lyrical assemblages of various found objects in metal and wood juxtaposed in wall-mounted sculptural constructions.
Abstarct concepts clad in tool or farm implements glow in imagination and whimsy.

All is not lost. Old, worn, and faded things find new meaning. Francois-X Chamberland extends an invitation to examine what we may once have spurned.

Chamberland puts together unlikely companions. Old things inspire him. Old things and odd things.

From an early age, Chamberland has been creating his own world. The contrast of the foil that he adds to a found object changes what you perceive. Lets loose the imagination, taking you beyond the actuality of the object. A dynamic is set up enhancing what you see, so that you can relate to it anew. Chamberland animates the figure/ground in such a way that the ground becomes an entity; a little world. Inanimate objects take on human qualities, making the connection from the object to the person; drawing a parallel to a human being.
